About ExpenseFlow
Our mission
ExpenseFlow exists to give small organisations — temple trusts, resident groups, student households and families — the same clarity that big companies get from expensive accounting software, without the cost or the complexity. Many of the organisations we designed for have members who are not technically confident and who need to see the same numbers on their own phone that the treasurer sees on a laptop. So we built one shared, private workspace per organisation: everyone with the username sees the current figures, and nobody outside that workspace sees anything at all.
Who uses it
- Temples & NGOs — treasurers log purchases raised by volunteers, approve reimbursement claims, and export an audit-ready statement for the annual general meeting.
- Families — one shared household budget with per-person contribution tracking and a daily report card posted to the family chat.
- Students & singles — an allowance with a safe-to-spend-per-day gauge that updates with every coffee.
- Small teams — trip, event or project funds with view-only access for anyone who just needs to watch the numbers.
What makes it different
Each workspace is private to its own members. You add people by username, choose whether they are a visitor, an editor or an admin, and decide how much of the workspace's figures a visitor sees — their own entries only, or everything — and whether they may export it. A treasurer's entries and an auditor’s read-only view come from the same live records, so nobody works from a stale spreadsheet. Reports, analytics and exports (Excel, CSV, PDF, shareable image cards) are generated on the spot. And it is free: there is no paywall and no selling of data.
How ExpenseFlow is funded
ExpenseFlow is offered free of charge. Like many independent web tools, it may display non-intrusive advertising to cover hosting and development time. Advertisements are clearly separated from the application itself, never access your financial data, and do not influence any feature. Our full data practices are described in the Privacy Policy.
